Nubia Red Magic 3S: Specifications and Features The Red Magic 3S is a smartphone aimed at the gamers and it offers features like 90Hz screen, latest Snapdragon 855+ chipset and a big 5000mAh battery. The smartphone rocks a 6.65-inch Full HD+ display on the front with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Nubia says the screen-to-body ratio on Red Magic 3S is 90.8%. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology and it also has a 2.5D curved glass. The handset measures 9.65mm in thickness and weighs in at 215 grams. The screen has HDR10 support and 240Hz touch refresh rate as well. At the heart of the phone, the Nubia Red Magic 3S has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, clubbed with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The phone comes in just two variants- 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. The premium variant will be available in a special Cyber Shade colour variant. The phone lacks microSD card slot and the storage is not expandable. As for the cameras, Nubia has added just one camera on the rear side of the smartphone. The Red Magic 3S rocks the 48MP Sony IMX586 shooter on the back with f/1.79 aperture, Dual PDAF and dual-LED flash. On the front, it has a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Connectivity options include Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB Type-C port. Lastly, the Red Magic 3S runs on Android 9 Pie and it’s backed by a 5000mAh battery. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear side below the camera module and it’s not an in-display model. The smartphone also offers 27W fast charging similar to the Redmi K20 Pro. Nubia Red Magic 3S: Pricing, Availability and Competitors The Nubia Red Magic 3S comes in two variants- 8GB+128GB priced at Rs 35,999, followed by the 12GB+256GB storage variant which will retail for Rs 47,999. The price is surely on the lower side, but the competition in the market right now is pretty intense. The Red Magic 3S takes on the OnePlus 7T and the Asus ROG Phone 2 in the sub-Rs 40,000 segment. The OnePlus 7T is a decent smartphone but lacks in the battery segment because of the sub-par 3800mAh battery. The Red Magic 3S has a 5000mAh battery to offer longer gaming sessions. The price of the Red Magic 3S is also Rs 2,000 lower than that of the OnePlus 7T and the Asus ROG phone.
