OxygenOS Open Beta to Brings Screen Recorder to OnePlus 6 and 6T OnePlus announced the arrival of this Open Beta update for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T on the official OnePlus forum. If the users of these phones are on the OnePlus Open Beta programme, then they will start receiving this update as an OTA one. The most notable feature which this update brings to the phone is of the screen recorder, which was first spotted on the OnePlus 7 Pro. This is the first time that OnePlus is shipping a native screen recorder app with its phones, and now it will be available on the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T as well. The screen recorder app also gives the option of selecting the frame rate of the screen recording as well to give users more control. OxygenOS Open Beta to Also Bring Other Improvements Some of the other improvements that OnePlus offers to its users include bug fixes, improvements for the weather app, new animation effects, improved experience with searching for contacts, and optimised quick responses for declined calls. It is likely that bunch of features out of this lot might also make their way to the stable version of the update as well. With this OnePlus has also noted that the Open Beta programme ships the beta builds of the ROM to the users which are not as stable as the stable versions of the ROM, as such they are recommended only for the users who know the risks involved. It is also noteworthy that ever since the launch of the OnePlus 7 Pro, the company has been following a strict update rollout schedule and has made many rollouts in the past few days. The company also recently released the Android Q Beta Developer Preview 2 update for the OnePlus 7 Pro. The company has also talked about the OnePlusTV, which was also in the headlines a few days back with rumours about the product launch floating in the market.
